About Ashleigh Nichol Photography

I’m a Birmingham-based wedding photographer with nearly a decade of experience photographing weddings in a way that feels natural, honest, and timeless.

My approach is documentary at heart — focused on real moments as they unfold — with gentle guidance when it matters most. I believe couples deserve to feel comfortable, confident, and fully present on their wedding day, not rushed or overly posed. That’s why I step in when needed, give clear direction during portraits, and quietly document everything else as it happens.

Every wedding day looks different, and my goal is always the same: to make sure my couples feel supported and cared for while receiving images that reflect their day truthfully — from meaningful details to emotional moments and everything in between.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year so every couple receives my full attention, a thoughtful experience, and a calm presence from planning through delivery.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m preparing for a new season of life with my growing family — a chapter that’s shaped how intentionally I approach my work, my time, and the people I serve.
