Moody & Romantic Engagement Session at The Sybil Temple | Natalie & Colin

When Natalie and Colin first reached out to me about their engagement session, I was beyond excited. I’ve known Natalie for years—we twirled together at UWA, and even before that, we trained at the same studio. So when she and Colin asked me to be their wedding photographer, it was truly an honor!

The day of their engagement session didn’t start off as ideal as we had hoped. The forecast called for clouds and rain, and we went back and forth about whether to reschedule. But ultimately, we decided to go for it—and I’m so glad we did! The overcast skies and soft rain gave the session a beautifully moody and romantic vibe that turned out to be absolutely perfect.

The Sybil Temple in Vestavia Hills was the ideal location for their session. Its timeless architecture paired with the dramatic sky created an incredible backdrop. Natalie and Colin were naturals in front of the camera, embracing the cozy, intimate feel of the day. The way they laughed together and shared sweet moments made the entire session feel so effortless and authentic.

Despite the weather, everything aligned beautifully, and the results were breathtaking. This session was a great reminder that sometimes, the unexpected elements create the most magical photos. I cannot wait to capture Natalie and Colin’s wedding day—it’s going to be just as special as this session was!

Stay tuned for more as we get closer to their big day!
